Fernando Plascencia holds a PhD from Cornell University and an MS in Economics from the University of Guadalajara. His work has focused on concepts from behavioral economics and network theory applied to the analysis of well-being, risk perception, and preferences. His current research lies in a multi-disciplinary approach incorporating experimental, analytical, and computational techniques [Machine Learning (ML), NLP (Natural Language Processing), Econometrics] that can advance our understanding of both the immediate and longer-term behavioral responses of citizens to violent events and their effects on well-being.
