Center for Faculty Advancement

The Center for Faculty Advancement (CFA) is devoted to faculty support and development—from recruitment to career advancement—throughout the faculty life cycle.

Our goal is to foster both individual scholars and the academic community at large by enhancing research and teaching excellence within NYU, and promoting public engagement with the world outside of NYU.

Our programs and resources prepare faculty to:

  • Meet key career milestones such as tenure, promotion, contract renewal, and other scholarly and professional aspirations.
  • Advance student learning and engagement.
  • Develop faculty academic leadership capacity.
  • Facilitate faculty opportunities to engage with and positively impact diverse communities within and outside the academy.
