Steph Fajardo is a PhD candidate in History at the University of Michigan. She earned her BA in History, Anthropology, and Spanish from the University of Washington. She also obtained a Masters in Teaching at the University of Washington and taught high school before she began her PhD. Her research and teaching interests include transnational US history, gender and sexuality, Asian American history, and Philippine/Filipino/Filipino American history. Fajardo has conducted archival research as well as in-depth oral history interviews in the US and the Philippines with the support of a Fulbright Fellowship, grants from the Institute for Research on Women and Gender and the Institute of Philippine Culture at Ateneo de Manila University.
