Claudia M. Triana is a PhD Student in the Department of Education Policy Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. A scholar of comparative and international education, her research focuses on the inequities of im/migration and education policies, displacement, and resistance. Over the past ten years, Claudia has served a youth worker with refugee and immigrant students, as well as leading culturally-responsive research and evaluation projects with public schools. Her research is supported by the Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Award. Prior to pursuing her doctorate, Claudia worked for the New York City Department of Education. A proud product of Miami-Dade County Public Schools, she received her MA from Teachers College, Columbia University and BSFS from Georgetown University.
