Greg Wilson, a native of Chicago, Illinois, is a fourth-year PhD Candidate in the Department of Sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is also a Visiting Scholar in the Department of Sociology at the University of Chicago.
Greg completed his undergraduate degree in Political Science and English and a Master’s degree’s degree in Higher Education Administration & Organization both at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He also earned a Master’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Chicago. Greg is currently a Graduate Research Fellow in the Institute for Research on Poverty and Graduate Research Fellow in the UWMadison Justice Lab. Previously, he has been the recipient of a UWMadison Advanced Opportunity Fellowship, Junior Fellowship with Yale University’s Urban Ethnography Project, and Higher Education Fellowship at the University of Chicago. Greg has also been the recipient of several scholarships in support of his research including the Evelyn T. Crowe Scholarship and a collaborative research grant from the Morgridge Center for Public Service.
In his spare time, Greg enjoys watching college football and basketball, traveling and exercising.
